Polyventive and Meridian Adhesives Group Acquire Separate Tri-Tex Business Units

Polyventive LLC announced today that it has acquired the Surfactants and Dyes & Pigments businesses of Tri-TexCo Inc and Trichromatic-West, Inc (Tri-Tex) from SK Capital Partners for an undisclosed sum. Concurrent with the transaction, Tri-Tex also sold its adhesives business to Canada-based Meridian Adhesives Group at an undisclosed sum.
Tri-Tex is a specialty manufacturer of surfactants, dyes, pigments, and water-based polymers used in textile, personal care, cleaning and industrial applications, which provide technical, applications, supply chain and logistics expertise. The company has manufacturing facilities in Quebec, Canada and Los Angeles, California.
Polyventive said the addition of the Tri-Tex team, product portfolio, applications expertise, and manufacturing facilities advances the company's strategy to become a premier North American developer and supplier of cost-effective, environmentally forward solutions.
The Tri-Tex adhesives business will join Meridian's Industrial Packaging Division, which includes Prime Blend and Evans Adhesive Corp. Currently supplying the packaging, paper converting, woodworking, and millwork and panel end markets, the Tri-Tex adhesives business will support Meridian's adhesive technology platform through the manufacturing of hot melt, water-based, pressure-sensitive and general-purpose adhesives.
Meridian said the partnership will continue to advance its global footprint with leading-edge technology, The addition of the Tri-Tex business is Meridian's eighth acquisition since the beginning of 2021 and brings the Meridian portfolio to a total of 16 acquisitions since its inception in 2018.
